The easiest way to get to Saladero Lodge is by flight to either Golfito or Puerto Jimenez. Several flights daily are offered by either Sansa Airlines, located a short walk around the corner from San Jose's Juan Santamaria Airport or NatureAir, which opelinks out of Tobias Bolanos Airport, about 5 miles west of San Jose. Both airlines offer flights between various airports within Costa Rica. The flight from San Jose to Golfito or Puerto Jimenez lasts about one hour.

We will arrange for a taxi to pick you up at the airport and a water taxi to bring you to Saladero from the public dock. The lodge is accessible only by boat.

More adventurous travelers can get to Golfito or Puerto Jimenez by car. This method is recommended for only the courageous of spirit as roads in Costa Rica - especially those heading into Puerto Jimenez - can be rough.

Flying to Golfito or Puerto Jimenez offers magnificent view of Costa Rica and the Golfo Dulce. If you are really carefull, you will be able to see Saladero Lodge just at the mouth of the Rio Esquinas.
